Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: July 30, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to the CoKindred website and matchmaking services. By using our website, submitting information, or engaging CoKindred's services, you agree to these Terms.

A separate written service agreement may apply to paying clients. If that agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the signed service agreement will control.

1. About CoKindred

CoKindred is a private matchmaking service that introduces adults who are interested in becoming parents through a mutually agreed co-parenting arrangement.

CoKindred provides introductions, communication support, and general guidance. We do not make decisions for clients and are not a party to any relationship, conception, pregnancy, parenting, financial, custody, marriage, or immigration arrangement formed between clients.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into an agreement to use CoKindred’s services.

By using our services, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is honest, accurate, and reasonably complete.
  • You are genuinely interested in exploring parenthood or co-parenting.
  • You will communicate respectfully and act in good faith.
  • You will not use CoKindred for fraud, exploitation, harassment, financial solicitation, or any unlawful purpose.

CoKindred may decline or discontinue service when we believe a person is unsuitable for the service or may present a risk to another person.

3. The Matchmaking Process

CoKindred may learn about your background, goals, preferences, circumstances, and desired co-parenting arrangement before considering potential introductions.

We decide which potential introductions to present based on the information available to us and our professional judgment. You are never required to accept an introduction or continue communicating with someone.

An introduction does not mean that CoKindred endorses, guarantees, or certifies the other person.

4. No Guaranteed Outcome

CoKindred does not guarantee:

  • That a suitable co-parent will be found.
  • A particular number of introductions.
  • That two people will be compatible.
  • That an introduction will lead to a relationship or co-parenting arrangement.
  • Conception, pregnancy, childbirth, or the birth of a healthy child.
  • Marriage, relocation, immigration approval, citizenship, custody, or any other legal outcome.
  • That another person will continue communicating or honor future promises.

Matchmaking depends on personal compatibility, mutual interest, timing, availability, and decisions made independently by the individuals involved.

5. Fees and Payment

CoKindred will generally not collect a matchmaking or success fee until both prospective co-parents indicate that they are satisfied with the introduction and wish to continue exploring the connection.

The exact fee, what qualifies as a satisfactory introduction, when payment becomes due, and any exceptions will be explained in writing before the client agrees to paid services.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • There is no charge merely for visiting the website or making an initial inquiry.
  • A client will not be charged a matchmaking fee without first being informed of the amount and payment terms.
  • Fees that become due after a client confirms satisfaction with an introduction are generally nonrefundable, except where required by law or stated otherwise in the service agreement.

CoKindred does not guarantee an eventual co-parenting outcome simply because a fee has been paid.

6. Travel and Other Outside Expenses

Clients are responsible for their own costs connected to evaluating, meeting, or forming an arrangement with a potential co-parent.

These costs may include:

  • Transportation, airfare, lodging, meals, and local travel.
  • Passports, visas, immigration filings, and document fees.
  • Medical examinations, fertility testing, and reproductive services.
  • Background checks or identity-verification services.
  • Legal, immigration, financial, or tax advice.
  • Translation, interpretation, notarization, and document preparation.
  • Any other expenses agreed upon between the prospective co-parents.

CoKindred is not responsible for reimbursing these expenses unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. Clients should not make major purchases, send money, or book nonrefundable travel until they have independently evaluated the situation.

7. Client Responsibility and Due Diligence

Each client is responsible for deciding whether another person is suitable, trustworthy, and compatible.

Unless expressly stated in writing, CoKindred does not independently guarantee or verify a person’s:

  • Identity or personal history.
  • Criminal or civil record.
  • Employment, income, assets, or financial condition.
  • Marital or relationship status.
  • Medical, genetic, fertility, or mental-health information.
  • Immigration status or ability to travel.
  • Statements about family, education, lifestyle, or future intentions.

Clients should conduct appropriate due diligence, meet safely, ask questions, request documentation when appropriate, and obtain professional advice before making important decisions.

8. Safety and Appropriate Conduct

Clients must treat CoKindred personnel and potential matches with dignity and respect.

You may not:

  • Provide intentionally false or misleading information.
  • Harass, threaten, pressure, stalk, or exploit another person.
  • Share another person’s private information without permission.
  • Record private conversations without legally required consent.
  • Request deceptive payments, investments, loans, or financial transfers.
  • Use another person’s photographs or profile information for an unauthorized purpose.
  • Pressure anyone into marriage, sexual activity, conception, travel, relocation, or a parenting arrangement.

CoKindred may pause or end an introduction when safety, honesty, or appropriate conduct becomes a concern.

9. Independent Decisions and Consent

All interactions and decisions between prospective co-parents must be voluntary and based on mutual consent.

Each person is responsible for deciding:

  • Whether and when to meet.
  • What personal information to disclose.
  • Whether to pursue a relationship or remain strictly platonic.
  • Whether to consider natural conception or assisted reproduction.
  • Where the child may live.
  • How parenting time, expenses, custody, and decision-making may be handled.
  • Whether marriage, relocation, or immigration will be considered.

CoKindred does not have authority to make or enforce these decisions.

10. No Medical, Legal, or Immigration Advice

CoKindred is not a medical provider, fertility clinic, law firm, immigration service, adoption agency, financial adviser, or mental-health provider.

Information or guidance provided by CoKindred is general and should not be treated as professional advice. Clients should consult qualified professionals before making decisions involving:

  • Fertility, conception, pregnancy, genetic testing, or medical care.
  • Co-parenting agreements, custody, child support, or parental rights.
  • Marriage, divorce, adoption, or assisted reproduction.
  • Immigration, visas, citizenship, or international relocation.
  • Taxes, finances, inheritance, insurance, or estate planning.

Prospective co-parents are strongly encouraged to obtain independent legal advice and create a written co-parenting agreement before attempting conception or making major commitments.

11. International Introductions

CoKindred may introduce people who live in different countries. International introductions can involve different legal systems, cultures, languages, travel requirements, medical systems, and expectations concerning marriage and parenting.

Each client is responsible for understanding the laws and practical risks that may apply to their situation. CoKindred does not guarantee that a person will receive a visa, be permitted to relocate, obtain custody rights, or be legally recognized as a parent in any country.

12. Privacy and Confidentiality

CoKindred handles personal information according to our Privacy Policy.

We will only share information with a potential co-parent that the client has authorized us to share. We do not publicly publish client profiles or disclose that someone is using CoKindred without permission.

Clients must also respect the privacy of potential matches. CoKindred cannot guarantee that another person will keep information confidential after it has been shared, so clients should carefully consider what they disclose.

13. Communications

You authorize CoKindred to communicate with you through the contact methods you provide, which may include email, telephone, text message, WhatsApp, or video call.

You are responsible for keeping your contact information current and protecting access to your devices and accounts.

14. Ending the Service

You may ask CoKindred to stop searching for matches or making future introductions at any time.

CoKindred may suspend or terminate services if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • You provide false or materially incomplete information.
  • You behave in a threatening, dishonest, abusive, or inappropriate manner.
  • Continuing the service may create a safety, legal, reputational, or operational risk.
  • CoKindred determines that the service is not appropriate for your situation.

Termination does not remove payment obligations that became due before termination. Any cancellation or refund rights required by applicable law will remain unaffected.

15. Limitation of Responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoKindred is not responsible for the conduct, statements, decisions, promises, or actions of clients or potential co-parents.

CoKindred is not responsible for losses arising from:

  • An unsuccessful or discontinued introduction.
  • False or incomplete information provided by another person.
  • Travel, meetings, payments, or agreements arranged between clients.
  • Medical, reproductive, legal, financial, immigration, or parenting decisions.
  • Emotional distress, relationship disputes, pregnancy outcomes, custody disputes, or financial disagreements.
  • Unauthorized disclosure of information by a potential co-parent.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

16. Website Content

The CoKindred name, branding, website content, text, graphics, and original materials belong to CoKindred or are used with permission.

You may not copy, publish, sell, modify, or commercially use our content without written permission. You may use the website for your own personal and lawful evaluation of CoKindred’s services.

17. Changes to These Terms

CoKindred may update these Terms as our services or legal obligations change. Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date.

Changes will not retroactively alter payment terms contained in an existing signed service agreement unless both parties agree or the change is required by law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing a legal claim, both sides agree to make a reasonable effort to resolve the dispute through direct written communication. Any unresolved dispute will be handled in the courts located in New York County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
